Sony has unvield its new fuel cell which now uses sugar or glucose extracted from grape juice and soft drinks.
Sugar solution is poured into each cell of the batery.This sugar is converted to electricity by the enzymes which break down the glucose molecules to active energy.
The four cell battery each of 1.5" shown in the figure was tested to produce a Power of about 50 mW that can be used to make small devices like mp3 walkman to start working.

This is a cool device and eco friendly too. But its a bit bulky though. If the size of the device is reduced it can be used as a portable charger for small gadgets.
