yummy... why dont you try?

Hi everybody..
Thought of doing something special today and as i am a bit lazy (joking re.. i am not lazy ;)),

i made a very easy sweet...

its Gajar ka halwa...and here is how it looks..

I just finished eating it..
Tempting right (for those who love sweets!!)

Then here we go

The essentials are(for 2 pple)...

1/2 kg grated carrot
1/2 litre milk
1 spoon cardamom seeds
1 cup water
2 tablespoon cashewnut
3 tablespoon ghee
1 1/2 cup sugar

  • Put the water to boil (fig 1).

  • when it starts boiling add the grated carrots. Cook for 5- 10 minutes (fig 2).

  • Add the milk. Cook on a low flame for 1 hour stirring occasionally(fig 3 and 4).

  • Add sugar, mix well and cook till the sugar has dissolved and all the milk has been absorbed (fig 5).

  • Add ghee and simmer for 2-3 minutes (fig 6).

  • remove gajar halva from heat and put it in serving dish.

  • Decorate it with the cardamom seeds and the cashewnuts.

Delicious halva is ready to be served now :)
